Community Patrols

Your community needs you!

Neighbourhood Support and Community Patrols of New Zealand share similar aims and objectives around reducing crime and making our communities safer. Both organisations work closely with the Police. That relationship is shared in the publication of a new promotional poster that has just been distributed nation-wide.

Neighbourhood Support assists people to get to know each other better and learn how to keep themselves, their neighbours and their families safer.

Community patrollers drive around the community acting as extra “eyes and ears” for the Police, usually in their own car but in some places they use sponsored vehicles.

Everyone has concerns about crime and a lot of crime is preventable. Instead of waiting for something to happen, everyone should explore the information provided by Neighbourhood Support and take the simple steps suggested.
